9th Annual African American Festival July 19-21,2013

For the past eight years Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union has hosted the African American Festival, “Celebrating our History, Health and Education”. This is a weekend long family event that starts with a Prayer Breakfast, where local pastors and members of the community come together for prayer and fellowship. The official kickoff to the festival is a parade which receives great participation from various individuals, groups, organizations and businesses throughout the city. The festival offers two days of entertainment including national recording artists, local talent, vendors, rides and activities for the kids, along with health information and screenings. It is truly a family affair.

The festival has been held on the beautiful grounds of the University of Toledo Scott Park campus and each year the attendance has grown, last year there were a reported 25,000 attendees over the two day event. We are eagerly anticipating the 8thAnnual African American Festival, which will be July 20-21, 2013, and we are preparing for an even larger crowd.
